James Burgess is a musician and teacher from Bristol. He has played guitar and bass guitar in many of the best professional function bands locally and nationally at hundreds of gigs, festivals andparties. He has also worked at national level festivals and gigs as a stage technician. James has been teaching guitar, bass and ukulele for seven years. Lessons are tailored around the learners interests and aspirations. Students can choose to take music grade exams, or to study around what interests them.

W elcome to my website. I am a guitarist, teacher and writer and have recently relocated to Bancyfelin near Carmarthen after many enjoyable years performing and teaching in and around Wiltshire. Sincegraduating from Dartington College of Arts, I have taught guitar and bass in many schools and privately whilst also performing with bands and projects ranging from rock, blues, classical and folk to '60s soul, jazz and progressive rock.

Taunton Music was established in 1983 above the Music Shop in Bridge St and moved to the present purpose built facilities in 2011. The Music School has around 350 pupils passing through its doorsevery week. When I was 4 years old, whilst on a shopping trip with my parents, I discovered an electric keyboard on display in a department store. Whilst my parents were looking at items on the next shelf, Ientertained myself by pressing all the keys. It took all their efforts to drag me away, after which they surprised me for my birthday by giving me a keyboard. The rest, as they say, is history.

Having had a keen interest in music from a young age, I took up piano and later guitar and then drums. Whilst at secondary school I went on to pass grade 8 guitar. At school I gained A levels inMaths, Physics, Music and Music Technology. After this I went on to University where I studied Music and Sound Recording, which I passed with first class honours. Here I studied modules such as piano skills and harmony.

Hi, I'm Nigel Gardner and I offer professional Guitar tuition from my Home Studio in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. I have twelve years experience as a professional guitarist and instrumental teacher,both privately and throughout schools and colleges in Bristol and Gloucestershire. I currently teach over 70 students (beginners to advanced) from age seven through to mature adults. Naturally it helps to learn the guitar through the style of music you love.

I started to play drums at 10 years old and have been performing since age 12. I keep myself in regular performance practice and work with many different artists in the area. I am a keen drummer witha passion for teaching; I also play guitar and many other instruments. This is particularly useful as I can "jam" along with my students and help them simulate real life performing.
