The Andersonstown Traditional & Contemporary Music School (A.T.C.M.S.) was established In October of 1991 by several members of the local community. These included musicians looking for a place wherethey could teach others to play Irish traditional instruments and repertoire. An important founding musician was Sean McGuire, a world renowned fiddle player who wished to find an outlet to pass on his skills in Irish traditional music.
