I began to play the guitar at the age of ten and the passion for music and a fascination with the seemingly endless possibilities of the guitar has remained with me ever since. I have now played for42 years and I am still discovering the instrument every day. My initial influences were many and varied. I consider myself fortunate to have grown up at a time when virtuoso playing was the order of the day.
At what age can I start learning guitar? With 1/2 and 3/4 size guitars easily available on the market, starting at an early age is possible. I recommend a starting age of 7 years old, as a bit ofprimary school simple arithmetic and language skills come in very handy in learning guitar easily.
