After obtaining the B Mus degree [with distinction for both Piano and Singing as Practical Majors], Dana did the Higher Diploma in Education. He then went on to obtain the B Mus Honours [cum laude]and M Mus [cum laude]. Research towards his Master's degree in the UK was made possible with grants from the Ernest Oppenheimer Memorial Trust Fund of Anglo American as well as the Haggie Trust Fund.
