About the Business

With a huge passion to pass on knowledge of music through the art of playing, Myke inspires individuals to grow in confidence by doing just that, playing! As a professional musical artist, arranger and composer and with the Electric Bass being his 'first' instrument and Drums his second. Myke brings to the centre, many years of professional public performance experience. Individuals are in a unique position to learn from this and are able to relate and rely on his teachings, to add to their own performing experiences.

His focus is on individual personal development through one-to-one and group tuition. At all levels, individuals learn how to: Sing, play Bass Guitar, Drums, Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Keyboards and Piano.

He has implemented an approved teaching style, which, after many years of research and practical study, demonstrates good practice in facilitating the learning of music. Music software programmes are included as extra tools in conjunction with learning, whether for fun or "Extra-Curricular" study; the results are rewarding.

Music Activities for the Community

Short courses and recording sessions are also available. I Play Music have three types of community-based activities.

1. Five Unit Crash Course:

Incorporating the 5 Unit Based Learning Programme over a period of 5 days. Within this session individuals learn the very basics of playing or singing a good quality song. This usually takes place during half term and summer holidays.

2. One Day Recording Session:

This is a two-hour fun filled session designed for recording a song, made on appointment only. The finished song will then be mixed and transferred to a compact disc which can be collected at a later date. This one-day recording session has originally been designed for those seeking a birthday or anniversary gift.

3. Professional Recording Session:

This is a four-hour recording session designed for the more serious minded of musicians. Soloists or bands will be able to record a demo of exceptional quality. If the song generates a strong public interest, suggestions to re-record the demo for a record label may be the next step. Professional recording sessions are subject to advanced bookings and availability.
