Hi, I'm Richard and have been playing the guitar for over 30 years. I started playing in my teens before the punk era and have played in pubs and clubs ever since. I have been teaching the guitar for over 10 years and specialise in guiding those new to the instrument through the early stages.

The frustration of learning all the basic chords can often stop a new player when they have only just started. I also play a number of band instruments (guitar, bass, drums and keyboards) which helps the students understanding of the guitar and it's interaction with the other instruments.

I generally teach from teach from my studio situated between Dorking and Reigate which is fully kitted out for tuition, practicing and recording. Although I am fully mobile and can come to your home.
