I am an award-winning brass musician based in Liverpool, originally from North Wales, with a lifetime's experience of successfully performing the cornet, trumpet and flugelhorn.
I can play classical, brass band, big band, rock or even jazz. Great sight reading & can improvise. I'm fully insured and have a clean CRB certificate.
I also provide private lessons, trumpet play-along backing tracks & brass arrangements.

Private Lessons
I provide 1-hour lessons only: either at your home or over Skype for £35.
I can only provide private lessons on an ad hoc or flexible basis when my schedule allows. I do not offer regular weekly half hour lessons & my honest opinion is that beginners would be best served by a tutor that offers that. I tend to teach adults or young people who have an exam or important performance coming up.
My lessons are suitable for the following purposes:
- to get a second opinion & tips on how to polish your playing before an exam, competition or solo performance.
- to get advice on solving a problem with your playing.
- to offer a suitable practice routine going forward to address weaknesses.
