About the Business

We aim to provide first class music tuition for all ages and abilities in a friendly and productive atmosphere. Every pupil is actively encouraged to realise their full potential.

Our music school is run in conjunction with Dawsons Music in Altrincham and classes are started throughout the year as soon as there is sufficient demand. Music pupils at the school receive automatic discounts at the store and many take advantage of this.

Our Music School turns 21 later this year and has around 300 pupils offering lessons on a weekly basis, running well established piano, guitar, ukulele and vocal courses and using proven teaching methods and techniques. Our school also offers Rock School courses. All our teachers are extremely well qualified and highly experienced musicians. We offer piano, guitar, bass guitar and vocal tuition for all ages and abilities. Our 3 studios are well equipped so pupils do not need to bring their own instruments and none of our courses use headphones.

Guitar Courses

Guitar Courses

Our guitar lessons use material pertaining to the Rockschool and Trinity College exam syllabuses, while allowing teachers to use their own expertise to introduce other methods of learning. Lessons have a well-rounded form, making time to work on modern songs, classic songs, improvising, theory, reading, rhythms and aural practice.

The students work in groups of up to eight allowing them great experience of playing music alongside other people, taking it in turn to improvise and perform. Students normally work towards taking a grade from the Rockschool or Trinity College syllabus and will be able to showcase their work at performances throughout the year. Both of these tools work as great incentives to learning.
Piano Courses

Piano Courses

Our courses are ideal for those who want to learn the piano in a fun and imaginative atmosphere. Working in an average group size of 6-8, pupils have the additional advantage of being able to play by ear as well as reading music in a more formal and traditional way as lessons progress.

This course is for both children and adults. It attracts many adults who used to learn and want to come back to study in a more informal, stress-free environment. As well as reading and playing music the course also focuses on improvisation, accompaniment and arranging music.
